A word from the director

When I started Chappaqua Rocks I envisioned that it would be a way for me to impart knowledge gained over the years to students of all levels who share my desire to make music. I couldn't have asked for better results. The students play on such a high level...it never ceases to amaze me. When you see a bunch of 12 year olds tearing it up like pros you can't help but feel the excitement! What I never forsaw was that Chappaqua Rocks would so impact the lives of our students. Day after day they come in with an unwavering passion to get better and better. They forge strong friendships with their fellow band members and many have even vowed to keep their bands together. I've seen students come in so shy they would barely say a word and then walk out with the confidence of a rock star. This is what's special...it's what makes me feel like a rock star!
